Get to Know Me!

My Journey, My Values, and My Commitment to You

I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Athletic Trainer practicing in outpatient orthopedics. My passion for sports began in my youth, where I played multiple sports and experienced various injuries, ultimately leading me to play Division II soccer at Nova Southeastern University, where I earned my degree in Athletic Training. I continued my education at Gannon University, where I obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

With experience in ACL return to sport, NFL injury settlements, NFL combine preparation, MLB in-season and offseason rehab, as well as techniques such as soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy, dynamic cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care to my clients and patients. My goal has always been to help individuals achieve their personal goals while empowering and educating them throughout their journey.

This passion led me to open my own private practice within a performance gym, allowing me to see patients one-on-one and further my vision of fostering a supportive and goal-oriented environment.

  • Why Recharge Physical Therapy?
We provide individualized rehabilitation plans from initial injury to return to sport as we understand the unique needs of athletes. We also focus on creating a client-centered, fun rehabilitation environment that is welcoming for all members. We are led by an experienced Doctors of Physical Therapy, and we focus on building strong lasting relationships with our clients in a 1 on 1 model of physical therapy. One of the flaws with traditional PT is a lack of knowledge on proper treatment of athletes. An athlete's body demands a great deal of force output and rate of force development and many PT clinics are not properly equipped to meet these needs. If you are struggling with an injury, we encourage you to come see us for treatment to help you return to your sport. We are confident that we can help guide you to get back to doing what you love.
  • How can I schedule an appointment?
Call us: You can call us at (727) 266-5579 to speak with a member of our team. Email us: You can also email us at rechargesportspt@gmail.com to request an appointment. Please include your name, phone number, and a brief description of your needs in your email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
  • How long is each session/visit?
At Recharge Physical Therapy, We understand just how important time is with our busy lives. We schedule standard physical therapy sessions for 60 minutes, but offer flexibility depending on your needs. We also have a 30 minute dry needling/manual therapy session available.
  • Do you accept insurance?
We are out-of-network providers, which means that we do not directly bill insurance companies. This allows us to provide a more individualized, hands-on, 1-on-1 approach to care. However, we can still help you get reimbursed for your visits by providing you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company. The amount you are reimbursed will depend on your out-of-network benefits. If you are not sure what your out-of-network benefits are, we recommend contacting your insurance company.
  • Can I pay with my Health Savings Account (HSA) of Flexible Spending Account (FSA)? What are HSA and FSA?
Health saving accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) can be accepted.
  • Why are we Out-of-Network?
Our goal at Recharge Physical Therapy is to provide you high quality physical therapy care, based on your needs, not what’s dictated by your insurance. If you have experienced a high volume in-network physical therapy clinic in the past, you are familiar with its challenges. How many of you have heard or even said yourselves, “Physical therapy doesn’t work for me”? Does it really not work, though? Or did you not get quality care and the time you deserved with your physical therapist and were you forced to work with an assistant or aide? Were you limited in the amount of visits your insurance allowed you to have? Was your co-pay $60 and you still hadn’t met your deductible so you couldn’t afford to fulfill your treatment plan? For all of these reasons, we have chosen the cash-based model to allow us to not only provide exceptional one-on-one care but to also provide you a cost effective treatment. Private pay can be particularly cost effective if you have a high deductible plan with fewer visits due to higher quality
  • Do I need a Doctor’s referral?
No, in the state of Florida we have direct access so that you can see a physical therapist without a referral. If the injury is something that the physical therapist deems necessary after through evaluation we can refer to physician.
  • What conditions do you treat?
We treat any orthopedic condition and specialize in working with people that wish to return to higher level activities.
  • What should I wear to my PT visit?
You should wear clothes that allow easy movement and visibility of the treated area. For ladies, we recommend shorts instead of yoga pants for hip and knee treatments, and a sports bra or tank top for shoulder, neck, or upper back treatments. You can change at our facility, where we have restrooms and showers available.
